Abstract: One of the exciting aspects of human life in the last century is the realm of video -computer games that with a rapid increase its popularity among children and adolescents, public concern increased about the harmful effects in these games. This study aimed to determine the relationship between kind of play and general health in Gonabad male students. Methods: This study is a descriptive - analytical study is comprised of 380 school boys' children Gonabad who were selected by multistage sampling. Instruments included the General Health Questionnaire GHQ and a questionnaire about demographic data and computer games respectively. Results: Subjects were Gonabad boys student, that the majority (47/5 percent) were enrolled in the second base. The 83/6 percent of these students were in town. One-way analysis showed that the mean health score based on the type of game, no statistically significant difference. Pearson correlation between health and amounts hours play also showed that significant relationship. The one-way analysis showed that there is no significant relationship between health and place game (P-value = 0/271). Results and discussion: The results of this study showed that although there is no significant relationship between the type of play and level of health, but there is significant relationship between the amount of student hours of play and health level, so people spend more hours a day play computer will have lower health. Then is recommended to parents in relation to their children the correct use of information technology including computer and warn about its dangers. Also limit the time Using computers and computer games and encourage students to social contact with their peers can be useful. Also the schools should have appropriate cultures in this subject.
